Building EmotiNg: The Real-Time Cross-Platform Service You’ve Always Wanted ?

Grand Ballroom

Introducing EmotiNg, the real-time emoji polling service the world needs.

EmotiNg aims to usher in a new era of emoji-based polling, and does so with technologies you may be familiar with. EmotiNg uses Angular for its simple component-based method of building interfaces; EmotiNg uses NativeScript so that its service can simultaneously exist on the web, on Android, and on iOS with one codebase; and EmotiNg uses Firebase so its emoji poll results appear instantly on all devices.

In this talk, emojineers Jen Looper, Tara Manicsic, and TJ VanToll—in costume!—will talk through the creation of EmotiNg, and run a series of live audience emoji polls. Come see the power of Angular, NativeScript, and Firebase in action.
